My Review
The cover of this coloring book, along with the title, which claims to have nice, calming images within, is what drew me to this book. The cover image features cute little birds perched on a branch, with some flowers and leaves all around, along with some black-and-white images in the background. I just find it simply adorable.
The images inside are definitely good for calming you down and helping you relieve stress, too.
While the majority of the pictures in the book are flowers, there are also some pictures like fish, butterflies, and scenery in here, giving for a nice variety of images to choose from. They’re all incredibly nice, and different than I’ve seen in a lot of other coloring books. Some of them are fun, some of them are more delicate, and some of them are beautiful scenic images that are almost breathtaking.

While I typically use colored pencils for coloring, you could use other materials, as well. The paper is pretty thick, and since the images are only on one side, any bleed-through isn’t that big of a deal (although when I tested out my gel pens, I made sure to place a piece of blank paper in between the pages anyway). The paper is also a nice crisp white, instead of cream colored like a lot of others, so the colors really tend to pop when you add it to the page.
Unfortunately, the fact that there are mostly floral and scenic designs in this book doesn’t leave much room for many cute images like on the cover, and while I was hoping for some of those, I did fall in love with so many of the others that it didn’t really bother me all that much. There is a cute picture in the book that follows the pattern on the cover…only with fish, instead of birds. But the images in the book are all pretty nice, so it isn’t a major issue. Also, while a few of the images have really intricate designs and patterns and may be a tad-bit time consuming, most of them aren’t quite as detailed, as you can see from some of the examples that I’ve provided. Personally, I like the choice, because there are times that I like coloring designs that are complicated and take a while to complete, and there are other moments when I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to coloring and I just want to color something a little less time-consuming.
If you’re looking for a nice coloring book with a variety of images in it that will make you want to dive right in, this is a great one to pick up!
