My Review
After first falling in love with Rebel Belle and continuing being a fan of this fantastic series through Miss Mayhem, I was so excited to dive into the final book in the Rebel Belle trilogy – Lady Renegades.
Lady Renegades picks up shortly after where Miss Mayhem left off – David is still gone (thanks to Bee and Ryan helping him get out of town), and things are still a little strange for our Paladin heroine Harper. But, a different kind of strange. See, the longer David is away, the weaker Harper’s powers get (and Bee’s, too, for that matter). Also, Harper misses him in a girlfriend way, too. She wants to have her David back – not the all powerful Oracle David, but David David – the boy she was falling head over heels in love with.
After taking a summer job as a lifeguard at the Pine Grove pool with her best friend Bee, Harper is just…bored. Things have been a little too quiet over the summer since the incidents at the Miss Pine Grove pageant. David is gone, Ryan and Bee are still dating, and Harper is trying to make sense of everything. So when she is attacked in the pool’s locker room by another Paladin (and it isn’t Bee, either), she doesn’t understand what’s going on. And then she remembers – after Blythe’s spell that gave him a ton of Oracle powers, David could create Paladins (that is, after all, how Bee got her powers). So with David off creating a bunch of new Paladins, all of them believing that Harper is the enemy and must be taken care of, Harper is confused as anything, trying to figure out how to find David and get him back to his old self.
When Blythe shows up at a country club lunch, and wants to talk to Harper and Bee about finding David, Harper is a little bit skeptical – after all, Blythe did try to kill her with a letter opener at a college once, and she was also the girl who kidnapped Bee – but she decides that they have to do whatever it takes to find David before his powers get so strong he isn’t David anymore – just an Oracle. So the three of them – Harper, Bee, and Blythe – set off on a road trip to find David (which shouldn’t be too hard, since Blythe is able to sense him and Harper and Bee keep having dreams and visions about David and where he might be). Along the way they make some pit-stops – dive bars, seedy motels, flea markets, and even the old Ephor office building – all in their quest to find David and do what they can to help him before it’s too late and he becomes a powerful, dangerous (and crazy) Oracle for good.
This book did a much better job of continuing the story than Miss Mayhem did, in my opinion. That book was a little lackluster, compared to this book, which was quite the explosive conclusion to the series, if I do say so. All of our favorite characters are still around – although we don’t get to hear too much from David, and Ryan stays back in Pine Grove while the girls take their road trip.
I’m not going to lie – the ending of this book (specifically the last three chapters) kind of brought tears to my eyes a little. It’s so obvious that Harper loves David so much, and she would do absolutely anything to try and save him. I was a little bummed that there wasn’t too much Harper/David time for most of the book – since David left and Harper was trying to find him. They are definitely one of my favorite book couples, though!
Also, I won’t spoil it, but that ending? Felt a little (okay, a lot) like a cliff-hanger, and although it’s the last book in the series (and I totally wish it wasn’t), I was really hoping there would be an epilogue or something to tell how things went after the cliff-hanger part, but there wasn’t. It does leave room for the reader to use their imagination and make up what happens next, though, which I think is pretty neat.
I think this book might be even more action packed and exciting than the first book in the series, and that’s saying something, because Rebel Belle was pretty darn fantastic!
This book is a fantastic addition to the series, and if you loved the other two books, don’t miss this one!

Definitely a Paladin!
That’s what I would pick, too!
Yeah! So glad to hear that you felt this was a satisfying conclusion to the series. I just finished Rebel Belle a few days ago, so I am definitely going to have to pick up book 2 ASAP. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous review! <3

Book 2 was a little on the “meh” side when it comes to much happening – this one definitely was better, and it ties everything together nicely for the most part! I hope you enjoy it and I can’t wait to see what you think!

Yeah, I agree! Although it might be fun to be a Paladin and kick some butt sometimes, though!
I can’t answer your question because I haven’t read this yet. But I love finding exciting series to read (then I know I already have my next book choice!) so these sound like fun reads for me.
Well I hope you like this series if you start reading it! It’s one of those that I couldn’t put down (and I usually don’t have patience to read a series). I agree about the whole knowing which book you’ll be reading next when you start a series, though! That’s definitely a benefit!
