Oh my gosh, this book is SO much fun!  I had such a great time reading this – it’s such an awesome adventure story that is fast paced and exciting from the first page to the last!  There is so much going on here and the characters are so likeable.

The Adventurers Guild has so much to offer and I think it makes the perfect book for those who already love reading, or those who are reluctant to pick up a book and read.  I know a lot of middle graders and younger readers have a difficult time getting into a book, and I think that this book in classrooms and libraries is the perfect way to combat that – it’s so much fun and such a fast paced adventure that I think that even the most picky reader will enjoy it.

I love the characters in this book.  Zed and Brock have really been thought out well and are easy to connect to and follow along on their adventures.  They are funny, smart, and witty, and the two of them together have some awesome conversations.  They feel real, which is important to me in a book – realistic characters that you can feel connected to.  The Adventurers Guild definitely delivers in terms of great characters.  This duo will easily become some of your favorite book characters, no questions asked.

The setting and world building in this book are pretty neat, too – they are incredibly well written and it makes you feel like you’re actually in the book.  I have a thing for world building, and I think that in books like this one it is really important to properly design a book that can lure in a reader and hold their attention.  The authors did an amazing job with that in this book.  It’s definitely one of my favorite aspects of this novel.

This is the kind of book that I can see myself sitting down and reading with my daughters, too.  While it’s a middle grade novel, as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed this too, so I think it can be a great read for just about any age, really.

The Adventurers Guild is one of the best middle grade books that I’ve read in 2017 so far, and I have a feeling that it’s going to be staying on that list, well after the year is over.  I look forward to more books written by these authors – they make such a fantastic writing team.  This is a book you should definitely check out.
