So while reading through some of the blogs I follow, I came upon ARC August!  I first noticed it over at Girl in the Pages, and it is hosted by Read. Sleep. Repeat.  Since I’ve only started blogging about two months ago, I never had the chance to participate before, and I though it would be really fun to do so this year, since I have a big list of ARCs that I haven’t read yet, or ones that I have gotten recently and plan on reading.

The Rules:

The rules are very simple

  • It may be a physical ARC or and eARC but it MUST be an ARC
  • Yes it can be an ARC that has released as long as it’s an ARC I’m not going to nit pick much
  • HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Feeling like you are being “forced” to read is the best way turn a fun event into a yucky obligation.
  • Update post! I personally will do a post for each Saturday in August but that’s just me. You can update once a week, every other week or once for the whole darn event. This update can be in the form of a blog or tumblr post, vlog, link to your “ARC August 2015″ shelf or even an instagram pic! I want to make this as easy and low pressure as possible for you.

I’m going to go for the goal of reading six eARCs for the month of August!  I think that’s pretty good for my first one!

My List:

I’m going through some of the ARCs I’ve been meaning to read, so I’m going to choose six out of this list:

  • The Porcupine of Truth, by Bill Konigsberg (Late)
  • Tiny Pretty Things, by Sona Charaipotra (Late)
  • Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls, by Lynn Weingarten (Late)
  • More Happy Than Not, by Adam Silvera (Late)
  • All We Have is Now, by Lisa Schroeder (July)
  • Playing the Player, by Lisa Brown Roberts (August)
  • The Creeping, by Alexandra Sirowy (August)
  • The Uninvited, by Cat Winters (August)
  • Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between, by Jennifer E. Smith (September)
  • The Heart Goes Last, by Margaret Atwood (September)
  • Dumplin’, by Julie Murphy (September)
  • One, by Sarah Crossan (September)
  • What We Saw, by Aaron Hartzler (September)
  • Fans of the Impossible Life, by Kate Scelsa (September)
  • Walk on Earth a Stranger, by Rae Carson (September)

I’m really excited about doing this!  If you have some ARCs or eARCs to read, you should sign up too!
