Synopsis: After surviving her otherworldly adventure, Lily wakes up on her nana’s farm having forgotten everything. Her sun prince, her travels to Egypt, and her journey to the Afterlife are all distant memories.

But Lily is not the girl she once was. Her body is now part human, part lion, and part fairy. And if that isn’t bad enough, she must now harness this power of three and become Wasret: a goddess destined to defeat the evil god Seth once and for all.

With the help of her old friend Dr. Hassan, Lily departs on her final voyage through the cosmos and across the plains of Egypt. On the journey, she will transform into the being she is destined to become.

Reunited is the heart-pounding conclusion to the Reawakened series.

It is time for Lily to find her sunset.

Lily Young thought traveling across the globe with a reawakened sun prince was a grand adventure. Now she’s about to embark on the journey of a lifetime.

When Amon and Lily part tragically, he transports himself to the Netherworld—what mortals call hell. Tormented by the loss of his one true love, he’d rather suffer in agony during Lily’s mortal years than fulfill his duty to protect humanity.

Heartbroken, Lily seeks refuge on her grandmother’s farm. Yet she can feel Amon’s pain, and she has been having dreams—dreams of Amon continually suffering.

For before he departed, Amon gave Lily something very special, an item that connects them even though they are worlds apart. Now Lily must use this object to free him, and to free their realms from darkness and utter chaos. She will do whatever it takes.

This has been such a fun series.  I remember when I first read the book in the series – I was completely blown away because I had never read anything else by Colleen Houck and her writing is simply amazing.  The second book in the series was also pretty good – it continued a story line that I had fallen in love with in the first book, and kept it going.  The third book, though – I think Reunited might have been my favorite of the three.  There was so much happening in this book, and I think it ended the series perfectly.

Reunited had a lot going on, and it was so easy to get lost in the plot and just enjoy the story.  When I’m reading I have a tendency to still have an awareness of what’s going on around me, unless the book is simply amazing, and in the case of Reunited, let’s just say that I couldn’t pay attention to anything else except this book.  It was that good!

I really love that the entire series is Egyptian themed – I really don’t see much of that in other young adult books, and it was so interesting to learn about Egyptian culture.  I haven’t read any other books by Colleen Houck except for this series, and I can certainly tell you that she definitely has an amazing talent for capturing detail and bringing her writing to life with them.  There is no shortage of detail in this book (and series) – from the setting to the characters, it’s so easy to feel like you’re part of the story.

Giving away too much of the synopsis might ruin the story for those who have only read the first book or so, so I don’t want to (as usual, I’m not about spoilers at all).  This is a really great continuation of the story though, so if you’re red book two and enjoyed it, this is definitely a must.

The characters that we know and love – Lily and Amon – are back and as full of personality as ever.   I really think that the author did a wonderful job bringing them back and keeping their personalities the same – a lot of times in series characters end up changing from one book to the next and it can get kind of disappointing.  That’s not an issue here, so I’m happy about that.

I love how deep the story in this book goes.  It doesn’t just gloss over things, but makes them a part of a fully fleshed out of the whole story line.

Note: I received an ARC of Reunited from the publisher in exchange fro an honest review – Thank you!

I’m so glad you loved this series! I’ve read the first book in this series which left me disappointed because it wasn’t as amazing as the tiger saga but I did enjoyed the Egyptian concept.
